Make your own burger patties!

If you ever wanted to make your own delectable burger patties we are here to tell you in just five simple steps.

1. Buy any type of sausages you want. A personal choice of mine is the gourmet lamb sausages which can easily be purchased from your local supermarket or deli store. The gourmet sausages are an excellent choice as they typically already contain herbs to add spice. However if the sausages you are buying do not already have this, then adding salt, pepper and oregano should work just as well.

2. This is the fun part in my opinion. Take all the sausages out and put them in a large silver metal bowl, or any bowl that will hold them. Now, if they sausages you bought didn't already have herbs or if you want to add some more, sprinkle salt, pepper and oregano over the sausages, and begin mixing. Use your hands for this part, as it makes it tremendously easier (and more enjoyable), and knead and mix the sausages together until they are they consistency of regular beef mice.

3. Take small sections of the mixed sausages and roll them into spheres. Lay them out onto a tray, with baking paper and continue this step until you have used all of the mixture. Press down on each sphere to flatten them. You can choose whether you want to cook them on a stovetop or on a barbecue. I personally prefer cooking them on a BBQ, as it adds a smokey flavour to the patties. Cook until golden brown.

4. Toast your Hamburger buns in the oven until golden brown to add more crunch to your burger. Slice up some fresh tomatoes, lettuce, cheese, onion and beetroot.
5. Time to complete your burger. Stack each layer up and add your favourite sauce. Enjoy!
