History of the Big Mac

The most famous burger ever made by the most famous fast food chain in the world is the Big Mac. As the companies signature product, it was founded in 1968 by Jim Delligatti.

The Big Mac consists of two 1.6 oz (45.4 g) 100 per cent beef patties, "special sauce" (a variant of Thousand Island dressing),iceberg lettuceAmerican cheesepickles, and onions, served in a three-part sesame seed bun.

It is important to note that although the burger is notorious for its unique flavour, it also consists of high fat intake. Consumers can nearly consume the recommended fat for entire day through one Big Mac. McDonalds heavily implements the Big Mac in their marketing campaigns due to its famous image and large popularity over the years.
